You adopted the MeritBuilder vision and made it your own. Some would see the completion of a task as the goal. You were not satisfied until 1+1 = 4. You did not just complete the task or close tickets – you innovated. In the end, creating more value than was ever expected.

You are a true servant leader. As we have added to our number – you have stepped up to offer guidance, mentorship and direct leadership. You listen first and then speak. This uncommon trait allows you offer constructive comments at just the right moment, setting the conversation on the most productive path.

You outperformed on a tactical level as well. Because you were on the team, I could sleep at night and I was even able to take a short vacation. Unlike many, I never worried about you or your commitment to the project. I never felt like I had to check up on you. I knew you were producing quality work, because you were your own harshest critic.

You have shown a level of commitment and bravery that is uncommon among even the most seasoned of businessmen. I know bravery is an odd word to use, but that is the best word to describe going into the unknown equipped only with faith. Therefore, I think it fits.

In short, my life is richer having you as a partner. You are truly a “co-founder” of MeritBuilder. From day one you have acted and thought like an owner. I don’t know what the future holds, but I am blessed to have known you.

Before I forgot, I wanted to tell you thanks for all of your hard work on making MeritBuilder what it is today. I can't believe the amount of energy you put into the site. I can think of a few days when you were up when I was up in the morning and you'd still be up when I was ready to call it a night. The site everyone sees is a result of your extreme dedication to the task. I have very little technical knowledge but I know that when I show the site to others, they always comment on how sharp it looks. Some say it is a thankless job but the fun thing is that we're trying to change that for good :-)

I wanted to send this before now but I have been so busy lately. I just wanted to say thanks for putting that video of all the kids together for VBS. I think they really enjoyed it and I thought it was Great! You always do an awesome job! Here is a pic of a few of the kids that were there. Thanks again for all you do.
